Banner Student Training Registration

Registration is now open for the next phase of Banner Student training -- Banner Fundamentals and Role-Specific Training. Registration is required for all sessions (except as noted below).

The pre-requisite for these sessions is the Computer-Based Training (CBT) modules as outlined on the Banner Student Recommendations for CBT page. The CBTs can be accessed on any on campus computer from the Banner CBT page.

Banner Fundamentals Training sessions

Banner Fundamentals Training sessions include hands-on exercises for SIS users to learn how to find Banner IDs, access student schedules, access student contact information, and review academic history. Training sessions will be offered at the following time:

Banner Records & Registration Overview sessions

Banner Records & Registration Overview sessions are designed for any campus personnel who currently use the SIS system and will need access to Banner.   The session provides an overview of student information in Banner, including admission data, student records, course information and registration processing.  After this session attendees will be able to receive their access to the Banner system. Overview Sessions will be offered at the following time:

Banner Role-Specific Training sessions - Permits and Overrides

Banner Role-Specific Training sessions for Permits and Overrides is designed for those campus personnel who issue permits and overrides for student registration. Access to this session will be limited to those who have successfully completed the following sessions: Banner Fundamentals and Records and Registration Overview. Training sessions will be offered at the following time:

Banner Role-Specific Training sessions - Student Accounts (A/R)

Banner Role-Specific Training sessions for Student Accounts (A/R) is designed for those campus personnel who need to view student account information, post charges and request adjustments to student’s accounts. Access to this session will be limited to those who have successfully completed the following session: Banner Fundamentals. Training sessions will be offered at the following times:

Banner Role-Specific Training sessions - Dashboards Reports

Banner Role-Specific Training sessions for Dashboards Reports is on demand training for academic units who need to run standardized reports. Examples of available reports are list of major, admittance to college or school, class roles, CTF (Course Term File) reports, advisor list.
